This past Saturday late afternoon, I enjoyed spending time enjoying autumn at Nockamixon State Park in Bucks County, PA on the Quakertown side. Late Sunday evening, my wife and I returned there briefly. The pictures below reflect some of our time there. Both days were delightfully sunny and warm with bright blue skies.

Butterflies and Insects
Last Tuesday morning, I went hiking on Pennsylvania State Gamelands #196 in West Rockhill Township, Bucks County a short distance off of Ridge Valley Road. You can see a post entitled A Snowy Journey of my last visit there. However this morning was a beautiful, warm, sunny summer outing. This post will highlight the beautiful butterflies and insects I saw. The next post being planned will highlight some of the wildflowers and other scenery.

Nature Photos from a Friend's Backyard
Last evening my wife and I were at a swim party at a friend's home in a country setting. During a small part of that time I chose to do some nature photography. Below are three of those photos.
I'm told this is a moth but I don't know what kind.
Can you tell me it's name?

Willard H. Markey Centennial Park
This past Monday morning I went hiking at Willard H. Markey Centennial Park off Ridge Road in East Rockhill Township, Bucks County, PA. It was a hot, humid morning but still fun! I had never been there before so it was fun exploring. Below are some of the sights I saw.
Many of the sights I saw came from meadow areas
such as this bright yellow flower above.
There was a little bit of wetlands area
thus the cattails.
Queen Anne's Lace
Black-Eyed Susan
