Nativity Scenes

December a year ago, my wife and I went to Byers' Choice in historic Bucks County near Chalfont, PA which is famous for its carolers figurines and Nativity scenes museum. We really enjoyed looking at the Nativity scenes from around the world and the photos below reflect only a small portion of the many beautiful Nativity scenes on display. So with this post, I want to wish everyone a blessed Christmas.

  1. Great photos of a wide variety of artistic treatments. I confess a favorite, French one, 7th down, because I'm fond of opera and whoever crafted it must be also. The little figures seem ready to burst into song!

  2. My own characters are from South France, here is a link to the maker, he is the more famous :

Each nativity scene is different (I like the one from Peru the best), it seems the music is different but the words are the same...

  3. Wonderful Nativity Scenes!
And I wish YOU and YOUR FAMILY a wonderful Christmas as well.

  4. Thank You Tim. Its my wish for you too.
Love all the Nativity sets but the faces on the shepherds in the first picture are fabulous. Such character.
Merry Christmas to you and your lovely wife.

  5. Beautiful sets, I like a classical view of nativity scenes

For a counter view, see this:

  6. These Nativity Scenes are beautiful!!! And they all presented in a different way!

These are very unique pictures, Tim! It was such a pleasure to view them and study details. Wonderful!

I wish you and your beautiful wife a beautiful Christmas and happiness, and good health.

May all your dreams will come true!

I send you many warm and loving wishes from Utah!

  7. My friend I wish to you and to your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year.

  8. You must have had a great time looking at all these different Nativity Scenes – they are lovely. Tim, have a very merry Christmas and a great New Year.

  9. Beautiful Nativity scenes and Merry Christmas to you and your wife. May 2012 bring more wonderful pictures and thanks for sharing!

  10. What a wonderful way to wish us Merry Christmas, Tim. I love the first nativity scene the best because of living in Peru for 6 months in my past life.

Today is our 2nd Christmas Day here in Holland, so Merry Christmas to you and yours, again!

  11. Thanks everyone for your greetings and comments. I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and wish you all a happy new year! There's something special about nativity scenes and it seems that your comments confirm that. :)
