Nativity Scenes

December a year ago, my wife and I went to Byers' Choice in historic Bucks County near Chalfont, PA which is famous for its carolers figurines and Nativity scenes museum. We really enjoyed looking at the Nativity scenes from around the world and the photos below reflect only a small portion of the many beautiful Nativity scenes on display. So with this post, I want to wish everyone a blessed Christmas.

  1. Great photos of a wide variety of artistic treatments. I confess a favorite, French one, 7th down, because I'm fond of opera and whoever crafted it must be also. The little figures seem ready to burst into song!

  2. My own characters are from South France, here is a link to the maker, he is the more famous :

Each nativity scene is different (I like the one from Peru the best), it seems the music is different but the words are the same...

  10. What a wonderful way to wish us Merry Christmas, Tim. I love the first nativity scene the best because of living in Peru for 6 months in my past life.

Today is our 2nd Christmas Day here in Holland, so Merry Christmas to you and yours, again!
