Limerick, Maine Nature Photos

About a week ago, my wife and I spent a few days up near Limerick, Maine at a friend's cabin. Here are a few nature photos from the trip.

Just beginning to change colors

A huge fungus about a foot across

A huge pine tree trunk with me standing next to it

  1. This is so you, Tim. When the day comes, I hope you die with your beloved Mother Nature holding you in her arms.

  2. Looks like a beatiful time in Maine, the little flowers you see in the woods are delicate and well captured.
It takes a great eye and appreciation for the small flowers.
I think the far North will show more color in the trees than around here.
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. "Limerick" for me a town in Ireland where lived the writter Frank McCourt ("Angela's Ashes")
"Limerick" is also a funny poem
The two blue flowers are wild at Limerick and I have them, they are also beautiful in my garden !

  4. Thanks, Ginnie. God has blessed me with much joy in nature - a place for solitude and exploration and much, much more.

Thanks, Sue Anne. I, too think that the far North probably has shown much more color than around here.

Thanks, Cergie. The blue flowers are beautiful.
