A Walk Through Lenape Park

This past Thursday my wife and I took a walk in Lenape Park near Perkasie, Bucks County, PA. It was a delightfully warm mostly sunny day. Below are a few sights from that walk. It was peaceful and renewing to my soul. In one picture, you will see a creek; it is the East Branch of the Perkiomen Creek.

And the last picture below was a drawing by a sixth grader
in a Sunday School class at our church. We had filled in as
substitute teachers and this was her gift to us. I love it.

  1. A nice walk, your spring is ahead of ours as we had snow on the ground this morning

  2. You are clearly a week or two ahead of us at least. I was at the Delaware WAter Gap over the weekend, and there is only the first hint of blush in a few bushes and I spotted one splash of forsythia. Isn't it great when kids suddenly make such discoveries!

  5. Spring is too hot here in France, we need rain now. Nevertheless being outside and enjoying sun and flowers is a gift.
I've never met this beautiful yellow wild flower.
The drawing would be a nice pattern for an embroidery...

  6. I've started taking a 30-min. walk every day, Tim, during this gorgeous spring weather we're having here in The Netherlands. Astrid says it's unseasonably warm (around 65F). It's been just what the doctor ordered. I love that you and your wife experience the thrill together. It fills up the lungs with thanksgiving!

Thanks, sue anne. And, yes, spring is here and I'm ready for it. :)

Thanks, troutbirder. And five inches of snow, I, too, might be grumbling for a little; but then out for the photo opportunity if I had the time.

Thanks, cergie. I think your right that the drawing would be a nice pattern for an embroidery.

Thanks, ginnie. My wife and I enjoy taking walks especially when the weather is warm.
