This past Saturday, September 17, I watched a large part of the Univest Grand Prix, a 100 mile bike race centering in Souderton, Montgomery County, PA consisting of 150 riders from 26 teams. The race is international and consisted of riders from the following countries: USA, Australia, Canada, Cuba, Sweden, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, New Zealand, Argentina, Belarus, Hungary, and Luxembourg. It was great fun to watch the riders. The winner was Canadian Ryan Roth from Team SpiderTech who completed the race in three hours, fifty two minutes, and twenty seven seconds. At one time, I dreamed of riding like them. That will no longer happen; though before I was married, I did once complete a 100 mile bike ride in Lancaster County, PA. However, below are some photos from this amazing bike race.
Awesome photos of the race.

I admire people that can do that extreme sport. It almost tires me out just looking at the pictures, which incedentially are terrific.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos, Tim. Looks like you were up front for this event! :)
ReplyDeleteUn très beau spectacle. Je crois voir le tour de France à la télévision. Les coureurs avec les casques et les lunettes de soleil penchent, tellement ils sont rapides dans les virages.
ReplyDeleteIt was not so easy to catch these pictures and you really did a good job !
(How I envy you)
ReplyDelete:)
Great shots! These guys look serious.
ReplyDeleteFabulous images, Tim, of an event I;d love seeing myself in person. 100 miles is a long bike ride! Good for you to have done it in your past. Today Astrid and I will be riding the bike 3 km away and that will be a nice ride. :)
ReplyDeleteI very much enjoyed viewing these wonderful bike race images! You captured some great action shots and angles of the bikers hard at work. Very cool!
