On Thursday, December 1, I spent some time hiking at Green Lane Reservoir near Green Lane and Red Hill, Montgomery County, PA. It was a windy, colder day but wonderful to be outdoors. Below are a few sights from my time there.
Autumn is such a beautiful season when it is not so rainy than just now in France. I like particularly the moss, it would be pretty for a Christmas crib....
Tim, so many stunning nature images featured in this blog post! Love the textures of the lush, green moss, wood fungus and driftwood. Beautiful capture of the geese taking flight. Thank you for sharing!
Tim, these photographs are wonderful but the last one with flying birds is fantastic. You captured a great moment. It seems that the geese are sliding on the water.
Tim - I also especially like the shot of the geese just taking off. At this time of year their vast colonies always amaze me. The photos provide a moody reflection of your autumn hike.
Everything, half-submerged branches, riparian contour, moss and lichens, even the frenzy of Canada goose-wings seem governed by the current. A very lively place. Well photographed!
I want to say thanks to everyone coming by and for your comments. It makes sharing these images a real joy. I, too, loved the texture of some these photos, the geese flying up off the water, and the imagination of some you folks seeing the alligator and/or croc.
You captured some interesting textures here, Tim. Loved that action shot !

ReplyDeleteThe light at the lake in the 2nd shot is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteTell me please, that there's an alligator in frame 3 and 5. I see the eyes and snout. Maybe they're fossilized? Enjoy your pictures of nature.
ReplyDeleteVery nice water pictures, I like the flying geese and the croc on the water. :)
ReplyDeleteSoon there will be ice on the lake.
