Valentines

With Valentines Day not being too far pass, I thought I highlight some Valentines Day related activities and objects. It was a fun time blessing my Sweetheart and in the last photo remembering my Mom from the days before Alzheimers. So enjoy the photos below.

My Sweetheart decorating sugar cutout cookies
that we had made together the Sunday before Valentine's Day

A closer view of the yummy cookies
I iced them; my Sweetheart did the sprinkles

A jigsaw puzzle my Sweetheart recently put together

An African Violet for my Sweetheart

 And roses, too :)

This wall hanging was pieced together and quilted by my Mom
a number of years ago. A precious possession and memory.

  1. Love the flowers, and the cookies are awesome. To bad I don't live close to you, I would have come over for Tea.

  8. This is such a sweet post. The cookies must have been so good with a warm cup of coffee or tea. Your mother’s heart quilt is so pretty – it is nice to have those mementos. My mother crocheted an airy scarf in lavender blue and I wear it all the time – remembering her wearing it too. Your African violets and roses look just perfect for a special Valentine – your Valentine is a lucky lady.

My anniversary is on the 15th of February, the day after Valentine day, we went at the restaurant my husband and I. It was a surprise ! So I had bought a chocolate cake. We ate it during three days ; it was delicious...
